Mac OS includes configuration of DNS of the operating system, however maybe difficult setup DNS for Mac OS different with Windows setup. With machine on a the Mac OS to setup Mac OSX from the manufacturers CDROM supplied.
Setup the DNS configuration in Mac OS
The first step you must click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of the desktop.
Click "System Preferences..."
The following screenshot configuration box appear bellow.
Click on "Network"
In the next screen select "VPN (PPTP) and click "Configure..."
Enter the DNS server IP address in the "DNS Servers" box, as before this setting is campus specific:
- FCH: 10.69.255.251
- Pittville: 10.78.255.251
- Oxstalls: 10.88.255.251
Click "Apply Now" and close the configuration box.
The laptop should now be able to browse the Internet.
