The town of Yagawahama in Miyagi state changes dramatically after bearing the brunt of the tsunami, while Kashima in Fukushima state suffered extensive flooding.
A 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck on Friday (11) to the northeast coast of Japan, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), killing at least 32 people and generating a tsunami that threatens countries of the Pacific Ocean.
The quake was the 7th worst in history, according to the NTSB.
