Auto run feature can be a good effect and also bad effect, as we can know with autorun when u insert a cd , this feature will help you more easy to read all files at cd and not need to explorer it via windows explorer. But at other side this feature can be a way for viruses attack your system.
If you not feel safe with this feature you can turn off auto run by edit registry.
Here’s the step
- go to registry editor
- and then go to subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDro
- at subkey , double click DWORD value named Autorun, and fill value 0
- restart your computer
to turn on autorun you can change back autorun value to 1
